Longmont Sympony Guild

The Longmont Symphony Guild is a vibrant and enthusiastic group whose sole purpose is to support and promote the Longmont Symphony Orchestra. We strongly encourage both men and women to participate in our efforts. Founded in 1968, this year we celebrate 41 years of support for the LSO by contributing to its financial stability and by providing refreshments for orchestra rehearsals. The Guild is very proud to have donated over $50,000 to the orchestra over the past five years. To this end, we hold three major fundraisers.

The Nutcracker Cookie Sale, held during intermission of both performances of the Nutcracker Ballet, has become a time-honored tradition. Children of all ages enjoy the wide variety of holiday treats.

The Pops Concert Dessert Social is held in conjunction with the May Pops Concert each Spring. This event features homemade pies as well as pies purchased from Loaf and Ladle. There are also other treats such as brownies and fresh fruit. It is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy dessert with other music lovers prior to the concert.

In June, our Annual Garden Tour, which is our major fundraiser, will celebrate its 32nd year. This wonderful tradition showcases Longmont’s gardening talents and will feature five lovely gardens. This two-day event promises to offer diverse garden design and layout and will give you gardening ideas for your own garden.
