Auditioning for the LSO

The Longmont Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Robert Olson, has the following vacancies for the second half of the 2012-13 season with subsequent seasons to be negotiated separately.

Assistant Concertmaster

Base pay $150/per quarter and sitting as Concertmaster when Concertmaster is not available at $100/per service with, on the average, 6 services per concert as concertmaster.

Auditions will be held at the Longmont Symphony Office on December 9, 2012.

• Exposition from major concerto
• Rimsky-Korsakov, Scheherazade, violin 1 solos from movements II and III
• Shostakovich, Symphony no. 5, movement I, from letter 9 to letter 12
• Brahms, Symphony no. 4, end of Mvt. I (m.392 to the end)
• Mozart, Symphony no. 39, Mvt II m.1-27; mvt IV m.1-41
